The Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona, played host to the second leg of
Destroy Lonely’s “Forever Tour." The sold-out show was highly anticipated,
with fans already lining up outside the venue by 11:00 AM! Upon entering,
the energy in the air was palpable, as fans eagerly queued for merchandise
while others rushed to secure spots at the front rail.

The show kicked off with an opening set by Destroy Lonely’s DJ, Lil88.
He played a selection of tracks by Ken Carson, including “Me N My Kup”
and “Fighting My Demons.” The crowd’s energy was unmatched, with
concertgoers crowd surfing throughout the venue. One fan even managed
to get called up to the stage by Lil88 for a stage dive. Lil88’s set lasted just
over 35 minutes, giving the crowd a brief moment to recharge.
The Marquee Theatre's security team was exceptional, ensuring the
crowd stayed hydrated and safe in preparation for
Destroy Lonely's performance.

As the lights dimmed, the crowd roared in excitement, signaling
the start of Destroy Lonely’s set. The intro to his hit song “SYRUP SIPPIN”
played, filling the venue with cheers and illuminating the stage with phone
lights. While the majority of the performance featured songs from his latest
album, he also treated the audience to fan favorites from past projects,
such as “how u feel?” and “NOSTYLIST.”

The stage design for the tour was impressive, enhancing Destroy
Lonely’s dark and mysterious presence. Smoke and fog filled the stage,
creating an ominous atmosphere, while towering scaffolding
allowed for an excellent view of the performance
from anywhere in the venue.

Between songs, Lonely frequently acknowledged the crowd, expressing his gratitude
for their unwavering support. The energy was electric throughout the night, from
Lil88’s opening set to the final moments of Destroy Lonely’s performance.
He closed out the show with “HONESTLY” from his new album LOVE LASTS FOREVER.
Before starting the track, he took a moment to thank the crowd, expressing
appreciation for selling out yet another venue on the tour. He mentioned how
much he enjoys performing in Arizona and can’t wait to return.

After Destroy Lonely left the stage, Lil88 previewed some unreleased Destroy Lonely tracks before thanking the Arizona crowd for their energy and love. Based on these sneak peeks of new material, it’s safe to say we can expect a new Destroy Lonely project sometime in 2025.
