If there’s one show you can’t miss, it would be a Destroy Lonely show.
Every song performed by the Atlanta rapper was filled with unique energy,
which was reflected off of the crowd. From the opener Lil88
all the way to the end of the show, the excitement never died down.
Lil88 opened the show with some of Lone’s fanbase’s favorites, turning
the crowd’s energy up from the very beginning. Kicking off the show
to “Me n My Cup,” the crowd erupted with excitement
as the lights flashed, creating an insane visual for everyone
(especially those who were in the balcony.)
Destroy Lonely came out to one of his greatest hits off of his latest album:
“SYRUP SIPPIN.” When the beat dropped the entire building erupted.
From the floor to the balcony everyone was on their feet, screaming
the lyrics to each song. With many rap shows, fans often know the artist’s
most popular songs only, however this was not the case for Lone.
The entire audience went bar for bar with the Atlanta rapper’s discography.
Lil88 tied each song together with adlibs and transitions, giving everyone
time to prepare for the next beat drop. Lone made sure to interact with
the audience often, signing records and bringing lucky fans on stage.
After this historic tour and the release of his new album,
Destroy Lonely will go down in history as a staple in the rap industry.
After the show, I had the chance to interview fans, asking them what they
thought of the show. Many of which told us that
“It was the best show I’ve ever been to,” showing the
impact that this performance had on his fans.
